Resolving Disputes and Claims
Disputes or claims against your services are handled through Carelancer’s dispute resolution process. If a claim is made against a service you provided, your payout for the disputed service will be held until the issue is resolved.
How the Dispute Resolution Process Works:
- Dispute Submission – A care seeker submits a claim related to a service.
- Payout Hold – Your payment for the disputed service is temporarily held during the investigation.
- Investigation Process:
- Carelancer reviews messages, service agreements, appointment notes, and any supporting evidence.
- Both the care seeker and care provider are asked to provide details.
- If necessary, additional documentation may be requested.
- Resolution & Outcome:
- If the dispute is resolved in your favor, the payout will be released.
- If the care seeker’s claim is valid, a refund will be issued, and the amount will be deducted from your payout.
- You will receive a final notification regarding the resolution.
Best Practices to Avoid Disputes:
✔ Clearly communicate service details before confirming appointments.
✔ Document all interactions and agreements with care seekers.
✔ Take accurate notes after each appointment as proof of service completion.
✔ Follow the agreed terms to ensure care seekers receive the expected service.
