Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, it’s important to do so as early as possible to minimize disruptions for care seekers and avoid penalties.
Cancellation Guidelines:
✔ Cancel at least 24 hours in advance – This helps care seekers find an alternative provider and avoids penalties.
✔ Late cancellations (less than 24 hours before the appointment) – A financial penalty of 25% of the service amount + tax and a 5.25% Carelancer service fee + tax on fees will be deducted from your payout.
✔ Frequent cancellations – Multiple cancellations can impact your standing on the platform and may lead to account review.
Rescheduling an Appointment:
- Communicate with the Care Seeker – Discuss an alternative time that works for both parties.
- Update the appointment in the system – Ensure the new date and time are confirmed in the Appointment Dashboard.
- Reschedule in advance – Last-minute rescheduling may be considered a cancellation if not handled properly.
📌 Reliable scheduling and timely communication help maintain a strong reputation and ensure positive experiences for both providers and care seekers.
